Established as a forum for innovation, the Ispo and its sponsors (Coolmax, DuPont and others) also announced the seasonal BandNew Awards. This competition, for young companies and designers, awards and supports original, innovative, intelligent and practical product concepts from sport and fashion, hardware and textile.

Among the current winners, who will be presented at the upcoming Ispo in Munich at the beginning of July, is the Media Jacket by designer Heike Hüning( www.heikehuenig.de), developed with W.L.Gore & Associates and Fuchs & Schmitt. With its many practical features, the non-rustling and (important on a shoot) non-reflective weather proof two-in-one jacket is tailored to the needs of production teams and media people.
